BOKS International is delighted to announce the successful completion of its first cultural exchange programme under the Staff Mobility Initiative. From 5–21 September, members of the alliance were warmly hosted by Glezco Asesores y Consultores at their offices in Santander, Spain.
Our Staff Mobility Hub offers alliance members opportunities to work abroad, gain cross-cultural insights, and strengthen their professional expertise. Whether through remote working, secondments, or cultural exchanges, members can collaborate internationally, enhance client service, and build global connections.
This pioneering cultural exchange in Santander exemplified the spirit of the programme. Participants worked alongside Glezco’s professionals, fostering collaboration and strengthening international ties. Beyond the office, they immersed themselves in the cultural life of the Cantabrian region, with highlights including a tour of the historic Magdalena Palace, attending a football match at El Sardinero, and visiting the Real Club Marítimo de Santander.
The exchange offered an invaluable balance of professional development and cultural enrichment. Participants gained firsthand insight into regional practices while sharing knowledge and perspectives from their home firms—building a genuine bridge between cultures.
Speaking about the programme, Kenny Burke, Director at BOKS International, said:
“This is a great example for our members that something so exciting can be offered with so little investment. It’s very simple. If someone wants to travel somewhere else, they can work from their local office and experience the culture in a unique way. They can do this as part of an annual group initiative or on an as-needed basis. We have a list of eight different offices that already offer desks.”
The initiative reflects BOKS International’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for member firms and their teams. A focus group will now be convened to gather feedback from participants and hosts, ensuring that future mobility opportunities continue to grow and deliver value.
