The Future Leaders programme is a five-level leadership journey designed to grow capability at every stage of a career — from building foundations to partner and firm stewardship.

The five levels are: Building Foundations, Emerging Leaders, Strategic Managers, Path to Partner, and Partner & Firm Stewardship.

Level 4 — Path to Partner

Your success as a future leader depends on your ability to lead, inspire, motivate, coach, and hold others accountable. This programme gives you insight into how others perceive your strengths and development opportunities through a comprehensive online 360-degree assessment, gathering feedback from supervisors, senior leaders, peers, direct reports, and other key stakeholders.

You’ll develop your leadership capabilities in areas such as conflict management, communication, and strategic thinking. Throughout the programme you’ll be supported by an internal coach and mentor from within your firm, alongside an external VLS coach. Together, they help you establish and sustain the skills and behaviours needed for long-term leadership success.

Programme Details

  • Who it’s for — High-potential leaders who are possible candidates for the partner track.
  • Comprehensive 360° assessment — A benchmark online survey capturing both self and other ratings.
  • Feedback and developmental planning session — A two-hour session with your coach, mentor, and VLS coach.
  • Coaching — Internal in-firm coaching monthly, external VLS coaching quarterly, and mentor advising annually.
  • Open-ended 360° resurvey — A measure of quantifiable growth and a chance to set future goals.

A Shared Commitment

This programme is for high-potential leaders intentionally nominated by partners or managers who commit to actively supporting their growth. Sponsoring leaders provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing oversight — making success a shared and sustained responsibility.
